    Providing financial support to UAE citizens who are about to marry female citizens, in order to contribute to the formation of a cohesive and stable Emirati family within the conditions and regulations of the grant that contribute to encouraging marriage to female citizens.

    Moral support that includes cognitive and educational courses within the “E’dad” program; to build stronger, more stable and cohesive societies, while promoting comprehensive and sustainable development in many social, economic and health aspects.   • The Target Audience

    Citizens who are about to marry female citizens and meet the conditions and regulations for obtaining a marriage grant

  • Documents Required

    • A document proving the applicant's net monthly income, including a detailed salary certificate from the employer.
    • A bank statement to which the monthly salary of the grant applicant is transferred, indicating the balance of his account for the last six months before the date of submission on the website.
    • A letter from the bank with the International Bank Account Number (IBAN) for the beneficiary to transfer the grant amount to him.
    • The department attaches the rest of the documents through the electronic link platform.

  • Steps to implement the service

    1. Access the website of the Ministry of Community Development: www.mocd.gov.ae
    2. Create a profile to benefit from the service via the link shown on the website.
    3. Click on the marriage grant request.
    4. After reading the service card and reviewing the conditions, regulations, and required documents, click on "Start Service".
    5. Enter data in the mandatory fields.
    6. Attach the required documents.
    7. Approve the acknowledgment and electronic undertaking, and click on send to finish submitting the application.
    8. The Marriage Grants Department reviews the application. If there are deficiencies, they will notify through the networking system (if any), or send a text message/email to the customer to upload missing documents via the website.
    9. If the application is approved, a link will be sent to attend the Eddaad program through the couple's electronic platform via text message to the registered mobile number.
    10. Transfer the request to the disbursement procedures in the Department of Financial Resources.
  • Service Conditions and Requirements

    In order to disburse the grant, the applicant must meet the following conditions and regulations:

    1. He and his wife must be UAE citizens.
    2. The age of the husband shall not be less than 21 years, and the age of the wife shall not be less than 18 years at the time of the marriage contract.
    3. Must be unable to pay marriage expenses due to limited income, or be a beneficiary of social assistance.
    4. The net monthly income shall not exceed 25,000 dirhams after deducting the retirement allowance and housing allowance (if any).
    5. The grant application must be submitted within a period not exceeding six months from the date of the marriage contract.
    6. The grant applicant and his wife must attend awareness courses and lectures organized by the Ministry within a period of one year from the date of applying for a marriage grant.
    7. The grant applicant must complete the required documents within a period not exceeding three months from the date of submitting the application.
    8. The applicant should not have benefited from the financial marriage grant at any previous time, from any other scholarship in the country, or participated in any mass wedding.
    9. The grant applicant should not be married, unless exempted in accordance with the regulating legislation in this regard.
