The Ministry of Community Development in support of Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank, organized a mass wedding for Emirati men and another for women for Al Darooh Tribe in Al Ain as part of its efforts to promote the culture of mass weddings and reduce marriage costs. The aforesaid mass wedding is the 19th wedding for Al Darooh tribe and 57th that is organized by the Ministry with Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank since 2014.
The wedding was held in Al Qwa Wedding Ballroom and attended by a number of officials, invited guests, grooms families and friends with the participation of folk bands celebrating the wedding.
The Ministry of Community Development organizes mass weddings annually as an important step towards achieving stability and family happiness within the principles of social integration, community partnership, and leveraging the efforts and initiatives of the private sector to support social development in the UAE. These mass weddings specifically reflect the ministry's commitment to encouraging the participation of youth and women as a longstanding and ingrained approach in Emirati society, given their direct role in promoting community cohesion, embodying unity, and cooperation at the national level.
