In line with the National Family Policy, launched by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, the Ministry of Community Development took part in the Dubai International Government Achievements Exhibition to spread awareness of the policy and technological developments which will help to enable and empower Emirati families.
In line with the National Family Policy, launched by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, the Ministry of Community Development took part in the Dubai International Government Achievements Exhibition to spread awareness of the policy and technological developments which will help to enable and empower Emirati families.
The Ministry took part in a series of presentations and showcased a number of projects and modern technological developments which had a special focus on family development and people of development, at the event which ran from April 9-11 at Dubai World Trade Centre.
The Ministry presented 6 Apps specifically for people of determination, including three apps designed for children with autism in celebration of Autism Awareness Month. A robot teacher, designed to assist people of determination, was also showcased. The Ministry also participated in a number of workshops over the course of the exhibition, where National Family Policy was reviewed, promoted and explained to a group of Dubai government employees, specialists and family counselors in government institutions.
Hessa Tahlak, CEO of Innovation at the Ministry of Community Development, said: “The Dubai International Government Achievements Exhibition is an opportunity for us to communicate directly with the public, especially government employees, and to introduce our services and initiatives targeting diverse social groups.
“At this particular stage, we are keen to intensify cooperation with all parties in order to achieve the objectives of the National Family Policy. This exhibition is also an opportunity to introduce modern technologies and applications that have become an essential part of the modern life and highlight the importance of its role in making life easier, especially the owners of interest.”
She added: “We are leveraging this opportunity to showcase some special experiences during the Autism Awareness Month. We are keen on engaging the society in our efforts to support autistic people and their families. The ministry’s participation in three awareness workshops during the event aims to highlight the ministry’s achievements in enabling wide social segments, and exchange ideas and insights on proposed projects to develop the services and initiatives under the National Family Policy.”
The Dubai International Government Achievements Exhibition is a leading platform for excellence in which various government entities seek to shed light on their latest and innovative programs and solutions. It enables participating entities to showcase their achievements and receive direct feedback on offered services, helping to provide an instant evaluation of current and future projects.
